Admission to Fairfield's three February home games is free for all fans.
THE 2025 FAIRFIELD STAGS
Fairfield enters the sixth season led by Head Coach
Andrew Baxter in 2025. The Stags' 54-man roster is comprised of 31 returners, five transfers and 18 true freshmen.
Fairfield welcomes back 56 percent of its scoring, 855 of 900 goalie minutes and and 384 of 401 faceoff attempts from the 2024 season.
POLL POSITIONS
Will Consoli and
Julian Radossich each collected Preseason All-CAA laurels while
Jake Gilbert merited an Honorable Mention. As a team, the Stags were tabbed for third in the Coaches' Poll.
Including honorable mentions, defending champion Towson claimed a league-leading seven of the CAA's 18 total preseason selections – highlighted by CAA Preseason Player of the Year Mikey Weisshaar. Drexel accumulated four preseason All-CAA spots, followed by the Stags' three. Delaware gained two nods, and Hofstra and Monmouth each collected one.
In the preseason poll, Towson nabbed six of eight votes to secure first place. Last year's runner-up Delaware was picked second – boosted by the remaining pair of first-place tallies – while Fairfield and Drexel rounded out the top half.
Stony Brook, Hofstra, Monmouth and Hampton comprised the backend of the preseason ledger.
EVERYBODY'S ALL-AMERICAN
Julian Radossich was selected as a Preseason All-America Honorable Mention by USA Lacrosse Magazine. Radossich was the CAA Rookie of the Year and an All-CAA First Team selection as a long-stick midfielder last spring. He led the Fairfield defensive unit with 27 caused turnovers and 40 ground balls. His CAA-leading 27 caused turnovers marked a new Stags' single-season record and ranked him 19th nationally. Radossich was also third in the CAA in ground balls among non-faceoff men. The starting LSM has chipped in offensively with two goals and two assists, including a tally in the CAA Championship Semifinals.
In 2024, Radossich was the only true freshman named to the All-CAA First Team and was Fairfield's third consecutive CAA Rookie of the Year honoree.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. LEHIGH
The Stags are opening their season against Lehigh for the third straight year. The teams have played three times in three different locations: once at Rafferty Stadium, once in Bethlehem and once on a neutral field in Hilton Head, S.C. The Mountain Hawks have won all three prior meetings.
TRENDING UPWARDS
Fairfield finished 2024 with its first winning record in a full season (8-7) overall and in conference play (5-2) since 2016. The Stags also qualified for the CAA Tournament for the first time since that campaign, earning the third seed in the bracket.
TRANSFER TALENT
Fairfield has added five transfers for the 2025 season:
KJ Delane,
Mark Durling,
Luke Fisher,
Charlie McFadden and
Jack Savarese.
KJ Delane joins the Fairfield attack from Merrimack College, where he scored 17 goals for the Warriors this past spring.
Another incoming junior,
Mark Durling comes to the Stags after two seasons as a faceoff specialist at Harford Community College. Durling was at .664 on the draw last season and also scored 11 goals with five assists.
2024 Division III Third Team All-American
Luke Fisher had a remarkable career at Denison College. The three-time North Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year was also named All-NCAC in all four of his seasons with the Big Red. As a senior, he started in all 20 games and led Denison with 106 points, 65 goals, and 41 assists.
Charlie McFadden is also a high-scoring Division III product, amassing 179 career points in four seasons at Skidmore. As a senior, he was top-10 in goals in the Liberty League as a part of a 33-goal and 17-assist campaign.
Jack Savarese racked up 290 points at Stevens from 2021-24, netting a program-record 211 goals with 79 assists for the Ducks. He tallied 64 or more points in every season, including a 91-point performance as a junior, en route to four All-MAC Freedom Conference honors.
POST GRAD PLANS
Charlie McFadden was selected by the Saskatchewan Rush in the third round of the National Lacrosse League Draft in September.
McFadden hails from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and played previously at Cushing Academy and Skidmore College Should he take the field for the Rush next season, McFadden would be the first Stag to compete in the NLL since Hall of Famer Greg Downing '07, who played for over a decade in the NLL and in Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and was also a three-time member of Team USA Box Lacrosse.
YOUTH MOVEMENT
Fairfield has produced three consecutive CAA Rookies of the Year.
Julian Radossich is the most recent recipient of the honor, while
Will Consoli collected the distinction in 2023 and Jack McKenna got the nod in 2022.
