Fairfield Women’s Lacrosse Unveils 2026 Schedule

The reigning MAAC Champions match program record with 10 regular season home games

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse – the reigning champion of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference – has unveiled its schedule for the 2026 season. The Stags will play 10 contests on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium, matching a program record for regular season home games.

Admission is free for all regular season home games this season. The Stags last played 10 regular season home games in 2015 – Fairfield's inaugural season on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium. The overall program record is 12 home games in 2019, a number that includes two MAAC postseason victories and an NCAA Opening Round game.

The Stags open the campaign with three straight games at Rafferty Stadium, starting with the first-ever meeting with Rhode Island on Feb. 7. Fairfield then welcomes UConn on Feb. 11 and Boston University on Feb. 14.

The first road trip of the season sends the Stags to Long Island to challenge Hofstra on Feb. 21 before returning home to host Drexel on the following Saturday, Feb. 28.

March begins at West Point for a midweek clash at Army on March 4. That Sunday, March 8, the Stags welcome perennial Big East and national powerhouse Denver to Rafferty Stadium. The non-conference slate concludes on Wednesday, March 11 at Vermont.

The Stags will only leave the state of Connecticut once during the MAAC season. Fairfield hosts Siena, Canisius, Manhattan, Mount St. Mary's, and Marist while playing road outings at Sacred Heart, Rider, and Quinnipiac.

The top six teams in the MAAC standings qualify for the 2026 MAAC Championship. The #3 and #4 seeds will each host a First Round game on Sunday, April 26. The "final four" will be hosted by the #1 seed on May 1-3.

Fairfield Women's Lacrosse finished 2025 at 11-8 overall and 7-1 in the MAAC. The second-seeded Stags won the MAAC Championship for the ninth time in program history, advancing to the NCAA postseason for the seventh straight campaign and the ninth time overall. Fairfield also won a share of its 16th MAAC Regular Season Championship.

Entering her 11th season at the helm, Head Coach Laura Field has won six MAAC Championships as head coach as well as two as an assistant alongside her predecessor, Mike Waldvogel.
