RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Fairfield University Women's Basketball team took down the Manhattan Jaspers in their final game of the 2025 calendar year with an 84-59 road victory. With the win, the Stags boost their winning streak to five-straight games while moving to 3-0 in the MAAC. Fairfield also picked up their nation-leading 45th true road win since the start to the 2022-23 season and now boast a 48-1 record against conference opponents over the last three years.
Â
It also marked the first time since the 2000-01 season that the Stags have netted 80 or more points in three-straight games.
Â
"I thought we shared the ball well and took care of it," Head Coach
Carly Thibault-DuDonis said. "I always love when we are in single digit turnovers. I thought we got some really, really good looks and missed some point-blank layups. We could have had an even better offensive game. But I liked how we're sharing and taking care of the ball."
Â
Once again, the four-time MAAC Player of the Week
Kaety L'Amoreaux led the Stags with 24 points, her third-straight 20-point performance and her fifth in her last six outings. L'Amoreaux entered the game as the MAAC's leading scorer with 20.1 points per game, a number that ranked her 17th in the country.
Â
The Stags (9-3; 3-0 MAAC) never trailed in the game with L'Amoreaux opening the scoring with a 3-pointer on the team's first possession.
Â
Fairfield out-scored the Jaspers in all four quarters while netting a game-high 24 in the first quarter. A
Meghan Andersen hook shot would cap the scoring in the opening period and give the Stags an eight-point advantage.
Â
The Stags extended that lead to 13 at halftime and 19 after the third.
Â
Andersen followed L'Amoreaux in scoring with 18 points while also grabbing five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Â
Cyanne Coe followed up her career-high tying performance against Merrimack by nearing a double-double with 12 points and a personal-best tying nine rebounds. She also matched her career-highs with four assists and two blocks for the second-straight game.
Â
The Stags dished out 19 assists on just nine turnovers with
Janelle Brown leading the group with five dishes.
Â
Fairfield, who entered the game fifth in the nation in free throw percentage, went 15-for-17 from the charity stripe for an .882 percentage.
Â
The Stags will ring in the new year on New Years' Day against Canisius at Leo D. Mahoney at 2pm.
