FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Freshman Natasha De Pree and sophomore Balazs Ament earned recognition from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) for their performance at last weekend's Terrier Invitational. De Pree collected the Jersey Mike's MAAC Women's Swimmer and Rookie of the Week awards while Ament captured the MAAC Men's' Swimmer of the Week honor. The duo completed at the three-day event hosted by Boston University, a meet which included Army West Point, Boston College, Bryant University, Colgate University, Northeastern University, UMass, and the host.

De Pree won three events in addition to participating in several relays over the weekend, beginning with her victory in the 500 yard freestyle, posting the best time of 4:50.45. On Saturday, the freshman held the best time in the 200 yard freestyle, touching the wall in 1:50.11. De Pree capped her three-day performance with a win in the 1650 yard freestyle, completing the distance in a meet-best 16:44.48. This week's accolades served as her third MAAC Rookie of the Week award and her second MAAC Swimmer of the Week award.

Ament was also involved in several relay races in addition to excelling individually at the Terrier Invitational. He picked up a first-place finish in the 100 breaststroke, clocking in with a time of 54.48. He  following up with the best time in the 200 breaststroke a day later, taking the top spot with a time of 1:59.27. He also secured a fourth-place swim in the B final of the 200 IM, posting a time of 1:52.24. This week's award marks Ament's first of the 2025-26 season.

The Fairfield University men's and women's swimming and diving programs, under Head Coach Jake Lichter, will return to the pool in the new year when they travel to Colgate University for a tri-meet. The Stags will meet up against with Boston University in addition to competing against the host school with the start time listed at 11 am.
