FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Eighteen newcomers have begun their first season of action with Fairfield University Men's Lacrosse in the fall of 2025. The group is comprised of 16 true freshmen and a pair of Division I transfers and represents eight U.S. states as well as the province of British Columbia.
"As important as it is for newcomers to becoming a part of our team on the field, it is important that we have young men in our locker room who believe in our culture, and who understand what it means to be a part of Fairfield Men's Lacrosse" said Head Coach
Andrew Baxter. "I am proud of the way that our new players have bought into our team's mission and mentality both on and off the field, as well as how our more experienced guys have stepped into their role as leaders and mentors."
Logan Bryant joins the midfield from Louisville, Kentucky, where he was a two-time USA Lacrosse All-American and All-State First Team selection at Trinity High School. Also the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Tournament MVP in 2025, Bryant led Trinity to a pair of state championships and was the state's leading scorer as a senior averaging over four goals per game. Bryant will study in Fairfield's School of Engineering.
Another high-scoring midfielder, Thomas Connolly racked up 207 career goals at Carmel High School in Carmel, New York. Connolly was a four-time All-League and three-time All-Section honoree. He also served as a two-year team captain for the Rams. Connolly is a Finance major in the Dolan School of Business.
Cooper Consoli is an attackman from Glen Rock, New Jersey. He was a two-time All-State, All-Bergen County and All-League First Team honoree at Glen Rock, amassing 109 goals and 97 assists in his standout career. Consoli is the younger brother of senior midfielder

Coming to the Stags from Ponte Vedra, Florida, Jack Cox was a two-time USA Lacrosse All-American at the Bolles School in Jacksonville. The 6'4" midfielder helped guide the Bulldogs to a District Championship and State Final Four in all four of his seniors at Bolles. Cox was a two-time All-State, All-Area, and All-Region honoree. He is a Finance major at Fairfield.
Mickey Faulkner was an All-County defenseman at West Islip High School, where he started at LSM for the nationally-ranked Lions. West Islip won the Suffolk County Class B Championship in 2023 to advance to the state tournament.
A member of four State Championship teams at Salesianum, Tyler Frampton comes to Fairfield from Landenburg, Pennsylvania. He was an All-State First Team defenseman in his senior campaign with the Sallies. Frampton is studying Finance in the Dolan School of Business.
Brendan Gallagher patrolled the midfield for an IAC Championship team at Georgetown Prep. The 6'3" native of Silver Spring, Md. also suited up for DC Express. He is majoring in Finance with a minor in Accounting in the Dolan School of Business.
A defenseman from Victoria, British Columbia, Hudson Jenner is a graduate of Claremont Secondary School. He won both a national championship in field lacrosse and a provincial championship in box lacrosse in 2024. Jenner is enrolled in the Dolan School of Business.
Alex Meier played high school lacrosse at Rafferty Stadium as a defenseman at Fairfield Prep. He was a two-time All-State and All-SCC selection for the Jesuits and a member of the Jesuits' 2024 state championship team. Meier also lettered in soccer, football, and track, winning an SCC Championship in the long jump. He is studying in the Dolan School of Business at Fairfield.
Towson, Maryland's Max Murray joins the Stags after a four-year career at Calvert Hall. Murray capped his career as midfielder for the Cardinals' MIAA Championship Team that finished the spring as the top-ranked high school team in the nation. He is studying in the Dolan School of Business.
Jackson Newell also competed in the MIAA Championship Game in 2025, suiting up on attack for Archbishop Spalding. Newell was an All-State Honorable Mention for the Cavaliers, who finished 2025 ranked third in the country by
USA Lacrosse. He is enrolled in the Dolan School of Business.
Chase Noyes won a WCAC Championship at Gonzaga College High School in 2024, totaling 26 points for the Eagles in that campaign. He was named a team captain as a senior and went on to be selected as his team's offensive player of the year. Noyes is studying in Fairfield's Dolan School of Business.

USA Lacrosse All-American at Jamesville-DeWitt, Luke Patchen joins the Stags' midfield after a standout scholastic career. Patchen graduated Jamesville-DeWitt with the most goals by a midfielder in program history as part of his 248 career points. He was named the 2025 Section lll Small School Player of the Year, two-time All-State, two-time All-CNY First Team and three-time All-SCAC First Tea. Patchen led the Red Rams to three Section and Regional Championships, finishing as the New York State Runner-Up on three occasions. He is a student in the Dolan School of Business at Fairfield.
Andrew Scully headed the faceoff unit at Irondequoit High School, finishing his varsity career at nearly 70% on the draw. Scully collected 186 ground balls with six goals and an assist in his career. As a senior, he was named All-League Second Team. Scully is an Accounting major at Fairfield.
Also joining the Stags' faceoff corps will be Chris Sloma, who did the honors at the X for Chaminade High School on Long Island. The Flyers reached the NYSCHSAA State Championship Game in 2025, finishing with a record of 14-2 as the sixth-ranked team in the nation by
USA Lacrosse. Sloma is majoring in Finance in the Dolan School of Business.
The starting goalkeeper for Calvert Hall's MIAA Championship squad, Brady Stangle was tabbed as All-MIAA and All-Metro protecting the cage for the top-ranked Cardinals. The native of Bel Air, Md. is studying in the Dolan School of Business.
In addition to 16 freshmen, the Stags have also welcomed a pair of transfers with prior experience at the Division I level.
Gavin McCarthy comes home to Fairfield after playing six games on defense at Bryant University as a freshman. McCarthy played scholastically at Fairfield Prep, where he was a three-time All-State First Team and three-time All-SCC First Team selection. McCarthy was the MVP of the 2024 SCC Championship Game, posting six ground balls and five caused turnovers for the Jesuits in their win over Cheshire on their way to a state title. He is majoring in Finance in the Dolan School of Business.
Landon Whitney played two seasons at the University at Albany, making 22 total appearances in the cage. Whitney was the starting goalkeeper and an America East All-Rookie selection for the Great Danes' 2024 America East Championship team that also earned an NCAA postseason win. The native of Peachtree City, Georgia played previously at Trinity Pawling High School, earning First Team All-Founders League and Defensive Player of the Year recognition.
These 18 newcomers join a group of 37 returners from the team that tied a program record with 12 wins last spring. The 2025 Stags finished at 12-3 overall and 8-0 on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium – the first unbeaten home mark in a full season in program history – and spent 10 weeks in the national rankings.
