FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Coming off their best offensive performance of the season, the Fairfield University Women's Soccer team will look to build on their momentum when they host the Fordham Rams on Sunday night at 6pm. The Stags will be looking for their sixth-straight home win dating back to last season and currently hold a perfect 2-0 mark at Lessing Field this year.
 
The Stags were powered by four different goal scorers in their Thursday night win against Bryant as Elle Scott, Reagan Klarmann, Alex Darcy, and Ashlyn Walsh all touched net in the 4-2 victory. The win improved Fairfield's record to 3-1 as their three wins are tied for the most in the MAAC.
 
Scott's goal was her first of the season and the 21st of her career, leading all active Stags. She is also the team's active leader with 59 career points.
 
The rookie Walsh netted her team-leading third goal of the season and is now in a tie for the most in the conference. Her three goals are also tied for third most in the country among first-year players.
 
Fairfield also put up their most shot attempts of the season with 23 shots including 12 on target. The Stags are averaging 17.8 shots per game which is the second-most in the conference and in the top-50 in the nation. The Stags are putting up nine shots on target per match which is the most in the MAAC and in the top-40 in the NCAA.
 
Fordham enters the match with an unbeaten 3-0-1 record after fighting to a 1-1 draw against Wagner. Liina Tervo is the team leader with three goals and three assists for nine points during her first collegiate season.
 
The Stags will next open up MAAC play as they are in the midst of a season-long five-game homestand and will next host Rider on Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm.
