FAIRFIELD, Conn. --
Megan Blair, a member of the Fairfield University women's rowing team, picked up accolades for her achievement in the classroom by being selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large team. The CSC All-Academic Women's At-Large Team includes student-athletes who participate in beach volleyball, bowling, rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, and water polo.
Blair contributed primarily from the varsity 8 boat throughout the fall and spring seasons, participating in practically each of the three Fall events and the seven Spring dates. Her season highlights include rowing at the Metropolitan Championships for both the Fall and Spring seasons. In the Spring, she also took to the water for the Jesuit Invitational, helping the Stags take first in the Varsity 8 petite final, as well as the Knecht Cup, and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships in May.
In addition to her award from the CSC, Blair was also honored for her academic achievement by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) by being placed on the organization's Scholar-Athlete list earlier in June.
