First-Place Delaware Visits Rafferty Stadium, Saturday at 1 PM

Fairfield is 2-1 in CAA action, Delaware sits at 3-0

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Men's Lacrosse returns to Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium this Saturday, April 6 for a 1 p.m. visit from Delaware. Tickets are on sale now at FairfieldStags.com/TIX.
 
Fairfield University Stags (5-5, 2-1 CAA)
  • The Stags leveled their overall record at 5-5 and moved to 2-1 in the CAA with an 18-13 victory at Drexel last Saturday in Philadelphia.
  • Bryce Ford scored six goals with eight total points en route to CAA Offensive Player of the Week honors.
  • Julian Radossich was named CAA Rookie of the Week after leading the defense with three caused turnovers and two ground balls. He also dished out an assist for his first career point.
  • For the season, Radossich leads the CAA and ranks sixth nationally with 2.20 caused turnovers per game. As a team, Fairfield is fourth in the nation with a CAA-best 10.80 caused turnovers per contest.
  • Ford paces the Stags' offense in all three scoring categories with 24 goals and 12 assists for 36 total points.
 
University of Delaware Blue Hens (5-3, 3-0 CAA)
  • Delaware most recently thrashed Hampton, 21-3, in stand alongside Towson as the two remaining CAA unbeatens at 3-0 in conference play.
  • The Blue Hens are currently unranked but receiving votes in the major national polls. The reigning CAA Champions rose as high as #14 on the national ledger this season.
  • Delaware owns the conference's top scoring offense with 13.13 goals per game and the nation's toughest defense with only 8.75 goals per contest allowed.
  • Individually, Mike Robinson and JP Ward set the tone with 34 and 33 points, respectively.
  • In the cage, Kevin Ellington ranks seventh in the country with a .580 save percentage.
  • Faceoff man OJ Morris is sixth nationally with a CAA-high .625 win percentage on the spot.
 
Series History
  • Delaware has won the last six meetings to take a 9-5 lead in the series, which dates back to 1995.
  • Since the series became an annual affair in 2014, the Blue Hens own a 6-4 advantage.
