Stags Host Stony Brook in Final Regular Season Home Tilt, Saturday at 1 PM

Fairfield can clinch a playoff berth with a win

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Men's Lacrosse takes to Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium for the final time in 2024 on Saturday when the Stags host Stony Brook at 1 p.m. With a win, the Stags clinch their first CAA postseason berth since 2016.
 
The Fairfield University Stags (6-6, 3-2 CAA)
  • Fairfield is coming off of an 11-10 win at Monmouth this past Saturday to move to 3-2 in league play.
  • In addition to clinching a playoff berth, the Stags' fourth CAA win would secure their first winning season in conference action since 2016.
  • The Stags were led offensively by four goals from Bryce Ford, who improved his team-leading totals to 31 goals and 43 total points.
  • Jake Coleman had a five-point day against the Hawks with two goals and three assists.
  • Julian Radossich was named CAA Rookie of the Week for the second time in 2024 after scoring his first career goal to go along with five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
 
The Stony Brook University Seawolves (4-8, 2-3 CAA)
  • A 16-12 loss at Delaware on Saturday dropped Stony Brook below .500 in conference play at 2-3.
  • ­Nick Dupuis has racked up 60 points for the Seawolves with 15 goals and 45 assists.
  • Dylan Pallonetti adds a team-high 41 goals to go along with 10 helpers.
  • Starting netminder Tommy Wilk owns a .545 save percentage and 10.96 goals-against average.
 
Series History
  • Last season's 17-14 win for Stony Brook moved the all-time series to 7-4 in favor of the Seawolves.
  • SBU has won six of the last seven meetings, with the one Fairfield win coming in Andrew Baxter's heading coaching debut on Feb. 15, 2020.
  • Seven of the 11 all-time meetings have been decided by two goals or fewer.
