Nine Stags Post Points in 14-6 Win at UMass Lowell

Ford tallies five points, Snyder cedes just one goal in the cage

LOWELL, Mass. – Fairfield University Men's Lacrosse concluded the non-conference portion of the 2024 schedule in emphatic fashion on Saturday with a 14-6 win at UMass Lowell. Eleven Stags contributed to the scoring, led by a hat trick and two assists from Bryce Ford.
 
With the victory, Fairfield heads into CAA play at 3-4 as winners of three of its last four outings. UMass Lowell slips to 0-5 with the home setback.
 
Ford's five-point day extended his team leading totals to 17 goals and 23 points on the season. Also helping to pace the attack, Keegan Lynch tallied his first caeer hat trick, Will Consoli added two goals and two assists and Jake Gilbert scored twice with one helper.
 
The balanced scoring effort also featured one goal and one assist from Rob Moore, single tallies for Luke Okupski, Reilly Sullivan and Cam Barisano, and assists from Matt Rice, John Okupski and Trey Ordway. Dylan Smith went 9-for-15 at the faceoff X to help keep the red-hot Fairfield offense on the attack.
 
While the offense rolled, the defense turned in its strongest performance of the season as the Stags grabbed a 14-2 lead before the River Hawks tacked on four markers in the final three minutes of the game. Will Snyder allowed just one goals with five saves in the first half to get the win. Owen Hirsch made his longest stint as the Stag, working the entire second half and making four stops.

The defense in front of the cage included four caused turnovers and three ground balls for Austin McClintic, three caused turnovers and four grounders for Julian Radossich, and three ground balls apiece for Braden Lynch and Eli Adams.
 
James Donnelly was the only multi-point scorer for UMass Lowell with one goal and one assist.
 
The Coastal Athletic Association slate begins next Saturday, March 16 on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium against visiting Hofstra. Opening faceoff is set for noon. Tickets are on sale now at FairfieldStags.com/TIX.
