Series History
  • The Stags lead Providence, 12-6, in an all-time series that dates back to Fairfield's first varsity season in 1993. The series has traded wins and losses for the last five meetings since Fairfield won back-to-back clashes in 2007 and 2008.
  • The Friars won last year's meeting, 17-10, in Rhode Island while the Stags were victorious in the most recent encounter at Rafferty Stadium – a 15-11 triumph in 2022.
  • The teams have convened annually since 2021 – with the scheduled 2020 meeting canceled along with the remainder of the season due to Covid-19.

Up Next
  • A two-game road swing is deck for the Stags as Fairfield wraps up the non-conference slate with trips to Bryant (March 6) and UMass Lowell (March 9).
