FAIRFIELD, Conn., - The Fairfield University Women's Basketball team will look to add another accomplishment to their historic 2023-24 season when they host the MAAC Preseason favorites Niagara to the Leo D. Mahoney Arena on Saturday at 2pm. With five games to go in the regular season, the Stags are one win away from clinching their fifth MAAC Regular Season Championship in program history and their second in the last three seasons.
The Stags continued their historic pace and improved their record to 23-1, which includes a perfect 15-0 mark in the conference by taking down Siena with a hard-fought win on the road. The victory was the 21st-straight for the Stags, extending the nation's second-longest winning streak.
For the second-straight game, the Stags had to rally from a second half deficit as they found themselves down by one going into the locker room. Freshman Road Runner
Meghan Andersen would connect on back-to-back 3-pointers to put the Stags out in front and Fairfield would use a 12-0 run heading into the fourth quarter to move the lead into double-digits.
Andersen tied
Janelle Brown with a team-high 19 points as she swished through five 3-point buckets. It was only the fifth time this season the Stags have trailed in the second half.

Fairfield connected on nine 3-pointers in the contest, raising their total to 218 for the season which is the 28th most in conference history.
