FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Basketball team will head to Loudonville, N.Y., for a clash with the Siena Saints on Thursday at 7pm. The Stags, who are coming off a last second dramatic win at Mount St. Mary's, will put the nation's second longest winning streak of 20 games on the line. Fairfield also enters the game with a 22-1 overall record and a perfect 14-0 mark in the MAAC as they close in on the regular season title.

The Stags pulled out their most dramatic victory of the season as
Emina Selimovic converted the game-winning layup on a perfect inbounds pass from Izabela Nicoletti-Leite in the final second for the 61-59 victory over the Mount.

Coming off an injury, freshman
Kaety L'Amoreaux led the charge late in the second half by connecting on six 3-pointers in the final 20 minutes while tying her career-high with 20 points. Her shooting barrage included two 3-pointers in the final 30 seconds helping the Stags to eight points late in the game.

Fairfield faced a 16-2 deficit five minutes into the game, tying their largest deficit of the season. The Stags also fell behind double-digits in the second half, marking just the fourth time this season they have trailed in the second half.

L'Amoreaux's shooting success helped the Stags make the comeback while also giving the Stags 308 made 3-pointers this season, the 32nd most by a team in conference history.

The Stags kept their spot receiving 29 points in the AP Top-25 Poll and five points in the USA Today Coaches Poll, three more than last week. They are also still ranked No. 7 in the College Insider Mid-Major Top-25 Poll.

Siena enters the game with a 13-10 overall record and a 10-5 league mark, standing in third place in the MAAC. They are led in scoring by Teresa Seppala who chips in 12.2 points per game while Anajah Brown grabs a team-high 7.6 rebounds.

The Stags will return home to face MAAC Preseason favorites Niagara on Saturday at 2pm.
