Stags Celebrate Senior Day on Saturday

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Soccer team will honor the four-member Senior Class of 2025 before their Saturday afternoon contest against Canisius at noon. Reagan Klarmann, Sami Erickson, Lexi Cosentino, and Tori Sarf have all dedicated the last four years to the program and their resilience has led to 46 wins, 29 conference victories, and a MAAC regular season championship. Senior Day ceremonies will begin at 11:40am.

On the pitch, the Stags check in second in the MAAC with 25 points ant their 8-1-1 conference mark. In total, Fairfield holds a 13-2-1 overall record, which is the 10th-highest winning percentage in Division I.

Fairfield is coming off a dominant 3-0 victory at Marist which was also the 300th victory in the career of Head Coach David Barrett. Fairfield scored three times in the first half with Maddy Theriault, Alex Darcy, and Caroline Kelly all touching net for the squad. Theriault currently leads the MAAC with nine goals and her 27 career scores places her seventh on Fairfield's all-time list.

With one more win, the Stags will notch their 14th victory of the season which will tie the most under Coach Barrett and the fourth-most in a single season in program history.

The Stags still hold the top-ranked offense in the conference, leading the MAAC in: goals (41), assists (33), shots per game (22.1), shots on goal per game (9.4), and corner kicks per game (8.4). Their up-tempo offense has been among the best in the nation as their 22.1 shots per game is second in the nation.

Canisius enters right behind the Stags in the MAAC standings with 23 points and a 7-1-2 conference record. Madeline Weltin is the team leader with eight goals and 18 points. Erin Weir has been the team's playmaker with a team-high eight assists.

Fairfield will close out the regular season with a contest against league-leading Quinnipiac on Wednesday at 4pm.
