FAIRFIELD, Conn. – With the fall semester underway, eighteen freshmen have officially begun their first season as members of Fairfield University Men's Lacrosse. The 18 first-years hail from six states and one Canadian province and encompass every position on the field.
 
"It's important that we are bringing in young men who are bought in to our culture and who are excited not just to get on the field, but to be members of the Fairfield Lacrosse family and the University community," said Head Coach Andrew Baxter. "I am very proud of this class of newcomers for meeting those expectations, and I'm proud of our older guys for serving as mentors and setting the example competitively, academically and socially. We are looking forward to continuing a productive fall as we work toward the upcoming 2025 season."
 
Ty Bleach is an attackman from Phoenix, Maryland, where he was one of the leading scorers for Head Coach Will Haus at Loyola Blakefield. Academically, Bleach is in the Dolan School of Business as an Accounting major.
 
Another Maryland native, Perry Hall's Justin Brown comes to Fairfield after patrolling the midfield for St. Paul's School. Also a member of the USA Lacrosse National Team Development Program, Brown competed for the USA Select U18 squad in 2023 that captured the Brogden Cup, defeating U18 squads representing Ontario and the Haudenosaunee Nation. He is a Marketing major in the Dolan School of Business.
 
Reid Bulger played in the midfield at Westminster School, earning a pair of All-State laurels. The native of West Simsbury, Conn. was also a two-time All-State pick on the ice as a hockey standout. Academically, Bulger is a Management major.
 
Bodie Cannata from Georgetown, Mass. was a First Team All-New England and All-Region attackman at the Pingree School. Also a two-time All-Eastern Independent League pick, Cannata totaled 127 goals and 32 assists in his career. At Fairfield, he is studying in the Dolan School of Business.
 
Collegeville, Pa.'s Finn Dougherty will join the midfield for the Stags after a four-year career competing in the Inter-Ac at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy in Philadelphia. Dougherty is majoring in Finance at Fairfield.
 
John Flynn was two-time All-County and a former Rookie of the Year at Kings Park in New York, where he also claimed All-County and All-Division laurels in football. Flynn added two County Championships in basketball to his résumé, earning Rookie of the Year laurels on the hardwood as well as the lacrosse field. Flynn, who is studying Finance at Fairfield, was a National Honor Society student at Kings Park.
 
The all-time leader in saves at Shoreham Wading River High School, Jaden Galfano won a County Championship in the cage for the Wildcats. Galfano was a 2022 All-Division pick and an All-County honoree in 2023 and 2024. He is enrolled in the Dolan School of Business.
 
Bryce Hrubiec was a defenseman at Cheshire Academy, earning WNESSLA First Team and Defensive Player of the Year honors as a senior. Hrubiec racked up 111 ground balls, 36 caused turnovers and contributed 29 points in his senior campaign. The Berlin, Conn. product is studying Finance at Fairfield.
 
A three-time MIAA Champion at the McDonogh School, Andrew Kasten comes to Fairfield from Catonsville, Md. Kasten was a 2024 MSLCA All-State Second Team pick, as a team captain, and also a two-year team captain of McDonogh's varsity basketball team. He is enrolled in the Dolan School of Business.
 
Colin Kenney roamed the midfield at Boys' Latin, where the native of Towson, Md. was a three-year varsity performer for the Lakers in the MIAA. Academically, Kenney is a Finance major.
 
Devin Lampron from Pittsfield, Mass. was one of the nation's leading scorers as an attackman in Wahconah Regional High School. In 2024, Lampron went on to compete for one of North America's premier programs during a post-graduate year at The Hill Academy in Caledon, Ontario. He is currently undecided on an academic major.
 
Owen Michaud graduated as the all-time leading scorer at Liverpool High School with 230 career points (108 goals, 122 assists). Michaud was a First Team All-CNY and All-SCAC selection, leading his squad to a Section III Championship and the NYPHSAA State Semifinals in 2024. He also won a pair of Section III Championships in basketball and was named First Team All-CNY as a golfer. The US Lacrosse Academic All-American is studying Business Analytics at Fairfield.
 
Nico Nassar played attack and midfield at New Trier High School in Wilmette, Ill., where he was a First Team All-State and a three-time All-Central Suburban League honoree. Nassar was also selected as the 2024 Central Suburban League Offensive MVP. He is pursuing a degree in Sports Business.
 
Philadelphia's Curran Rahn was a defenseman and LSM at William Penn Charter. Rahn was a four-year starter who played both close defense and LSM at Penn Charter and also competed in football. He is enrolled in the Dolan School of Business as a Finance major.
 
Another two-sport standout, Declan Reilly won an ISL Championship in both lacrosse and football at Belmont Hill School, just outside of Boston. Reilly was an All-ISL and All-NEPSAC defenseman as well as a BostonLax All-American. He is majoring in Finance at Fairfield.
 
Ronan Schipani played on the defensive end at Norwell High School in Norwell, Mass. After winning a State Championship at Norwell, Schipani finished his scholastic career at Tabor Academy. The defenseman and LSM was a BostonLax All-American. He is enrolled in Fairfield's Dolan School of Business.
 
A faceoff man from Kingston, Mass., Andrew Tilton attended Silver Lake Regional High School prior to a post-graduate year at Trinity Pawling in Pawling, N.Y. A team captain in 2024, Tilton also played football and soccer. He is a Finance major at Fairfield.
 
Jeremiah Wade comes to Fairfield from Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. He was an attackman at The Kiski School, earning an MSLA Honorable Mention. Wade is enrolled in the Dolan School of Business.
 
These 18 first-year Stags will join a group of 32 returners and five collegiate transfers to comprise the 2025 Fairfield Men's Lacrosse roster.
 
The Stags finished the 2024 campaign at 8-7 overall and 5-2 in the CAA – their first winning record in a full season since 2016. Fairfield earned the third seed in the CAA to make its first postseason appearance since that season.
