CAMBRIDGE, Mass.-The Fairfield University women's tennis team continued a busy weekend at the ITA New England Regional Championship being hosted by Harvard University on Friday with student-athletes seeing action in both singles and doubles play.

In the main singles' draw, Sarah Liu fell in a hard-fought, three-set match to Addison Ahlstorm of Brown, 7-6, 2-6, 5-7.

In doubles, Liu teamed with Maria Gell, but the Stags' duo dropped a decision to the team of Itol/Knezkova from Syracuse University, 1-8.

Fairfield's Nicolette Loeffler and Maeve Cassidy continued their strong doubles play this Fall earning an 8-7 (3) triumph over the UMass team of Faessler and Jonglertakul.

Loeffler and Cassidy will take on the Boston College pair of Benton and Mahajan in the Round of 32 on Saturday in Cambridge.
