FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Men's Basketball has signed veteran post presence
Alexis Yetna to complete the 2023-24 roster. Yetna was the 2019 American Athletic Conference (AAC) Freshman of the Year at USF and most recently ranked among the top rebounders in the Big East while competing at Seton Hall.

"Alexis has competed and excelled at a very high level in his time at Seton Hall and USF," said Head Coach
Jay Young. "He is a tenacious rebounder and defender, and he can score in a variety of ways in the post and on the perimeter. We are thrilled to welcome Alexis to the Fairfield Basketball family."

Yetna's last active campaign was in 2021-22, where he appeared in 31 games with 17 starts at Seton Hall. The 6-8 forward ranked seventh in the Big East with a team-best 7.6 rebounds per contest to go along with 8.1 points per outing. Yetna recorded eight double-doubles while helping guide the Pirates to 21 wins and an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

A native of Paris, France, Yetna began his career at USF. He was tabbed as the AAC Freshman of the Year in 2019 after averaging 12.3 points and 9.6 rebounds per game with 15 double-doubles. For the entirety of his collegiate career, Yetna has appeared in 83 games, averaging 10.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per contest.

Yetna competed scholastically at Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut. He earned an undergraduate degree in Economics from USF in 2021.
