SAN JOSÉ, COSTA RICA – Jasper Floyd recorded a double-double with 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead Fairfield University Men's Basketball to a 73-67 win over the University of British Columbia in the final game of a three-game set at BN Arena in Costa Rica. With the win, the Stags complete the three-game sweep of the Thunderbirds.
Floyd's 27 points and 12 rebounds were team highs on the night and for the three-game series.
Jalen Leach added 10 points as the lone Stag to reach double figures in all three games of the set.
The dozen rebounds for Floyd propelled the Stags to a 43-28 advantage on the boards.
James Johns Jr. pitched in six rebounds and
Louis Bleechmore had five to supplement the effort.
Tonight's game at BN Arena in Costa Rica's capital city of San José was Fairfield's final game of the week-long international trip. A member of U Sports (Canada's equivalent to the NCAA) and the Canada West Conference, UBC went 22-10 last season. Fairfield won Saturday's opener by a score of 90-69 and took the Sunday outing by an 88-64 count.
