Fairfield Tabbed for Second Straight MAAC Wildcard Game, Feb. 10 at Rider on ESPNU

The Stags will also visit Quinnipiac on Feb. 3 for a nationally-televised outing

EDISON, N.J. – Fairfield University Men's Basketball and Rider have been selected as the MAAC Wildcard Game for Friday, Feb. 10, moving their scheduled contest in Lawrenceville, N.J. to a nationally-televised game on ESPNU. Opening tip-off from Rider's Alumni Gym remains scheduled for 7 p.m.
 
The Feb. 10 clash will mark the second straight Friday appearing on ESPNU for the Stags. Fairfield's Feb. 3 game at Quinnipiac has also been tabbed for a national television broadcast.
 
After running off their third straight win on Sunday at Siena, Fairfield stands at 9-10 overall and 5-4 in the MAAC. The Stags will play a quartet of conference games, including hosting Rider at Mahoney Arena on Jan. 29, before the Feb. 10 meeting in Lawrenceville.
 
Also winners of the three straight, the Rider Broncs are 9-9 overall and 6-3 in the MAAC.
 
Currently on deck for the Stags is their first trip to Emmitsburg, Md. since 1949 for their first-ever conference meeting at Mount St. Mary's on Thursday, Jan. 26. The Mount is 7-13 overall and 3-6 in the MAAC after picking up a 59-55 home win over Marist on Sunday afternoon.
