FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Soccer team will open up the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) portion of their schedule when they travel to Loudonville, N.Y., to face the Siena Saints on Saturday at 1pm.

The Stags will enter conference play after posting a 5-2 mark against non-conference foes, including a perfect 4-0 record at home.

Through those seven contests, the Stags notched a 1.57 scoring average, the fourth highest in the MAAC. Four Stags have notched a pair of goals with
Elle Scott,
Maddy Theriault,
Sam Kersey, and
Maddie Mills all tying for the team lead.

Five of the seven goal scorers for the Stags are in their first year with the Stags with the freshman class posting five of the squad's 11 goals. The success of the freshman class is also shown on the defensive end with rookie goalkeeper
Katie Wright currently tallying an 1.07 goals against average while averaging 4.14 saves per game. For the success of the rookie class, the Stags have won three of the first four MAAC Rookie of the Week awards.

The Stags and the Saints will be meeting for the 33rd time in their program history with Fairfield holding a 20-8-4 mark. The Stags posted a come from behind win last season by tallying three-straight goals, capped by a

Siena has posted an 0-5-2 mark in their non-conference slate, most recently coming off a 2-1 setback against Lehigh on Thursday. Annie Bagnall leads the team with two goals. The Saints have split time for their goalkeepers with Brooke Boermeester playing in the last three contests and posting a 0.83 goals against average.

Fairfield will have a week off before their next contest coming against Marist at Lessing Field on Saturday, September 24 at 7pm.
