LEXINGTON, Ky. – Fairfield University Volleyball has earned a USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association, as announced by the organization on Monday. The MAAC Champion Stags aggregated a 3.61 team GPA in the 2012-22 academic year.
 
The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 or better on a 4.0 scale.
 
Fairfield's 3.61 GPA was bolstered by 15 student-athletes to earn University Dean's List honors (3.50 GPA or higher) in at least one semester. Five Stags recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA in one or both semesters of the 2021-22 academic year.
