Fairfield University Men's Lacrosse is back on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium on Tuesday, March 8 to host in-state foe Quinnipiac. Opening faceoff is set for 7 p.m. with J.J. Duke calling the action live on the Stags Sports Network and simulcast on Lax Sports Network.
- Tickets – Tickets are on sale at fairfieldstags.com/tix and at the Rafferty Stadium ticket office on gameday. Rafferty Stadium is a preferred cashless venue.
- FREE Student Tickets – Admission is free for current Fairfield University students by presenting a valid StagCard.
- Concessions – Concessions inside Rafferty Stadium are preferred cashless. The concessions menu now includes beer, wine, and seltzer (ID required) in addition to classic gameday food and beverage options.
- Parking – Parking is available in the Kelley Center parking garage and all non-residential lots on campus. The Rafferty Stadium/Walsh Athletic Center parking lot is not open to the public on gameday.
- Tailgating – Tailgating is only permitted in designated areas. Tailgating activities are not permitted in the Kelley Center parking garage or in any academic or residential parking lots.
LAST TIME OUT
Fairfield trimmed Harvard's 10-5 halftime lead to a single goal in the third quarter on Saturday, but the Crimson responded with a 6-0 run to salt away a 16-12 win.
Kyle Borda had a career-high five points and
Max Paparozzi netted his first career hat trick.
Taylor Strough and
Jack McKenna added two goals apiece.
Frankie Labetti helped keep the Stags on the attack with a 16-for-26 day on the faceoff dot with 13 ground balls.
Ryan Hamburger stepped in to go 3-for-5 on the draw with a pair of ground balls. He also forced a caused turnover to win back one of his two faceoff losses.

Colin Consoli in the first half and seven
James Corasaniti stops after the break.
McKENNA, AGAIN-A
For the second time this season,
Jack McKenna has been recognized as the CAA Rookie of the Week. McKenna had a hat trick in last Tuesday's win at Sacred Heart and scored twice on Saturday against Harvard.
The freshman has scored at least two goals in every game this season en route to 12 goals and 14 total points. He ranks sixth in the CAA with 2.40 goals per game. Exclusively among freshmen, his scoring total ranks second in the CAA and sixth in the nation.
McKenna was previously named CAA Rookie of the Week on Feb. 21 following a four-point outing in the home win over Wagner.
THE QUINNIPIAC UNIVERSITY BOBCATS
Quinnipiac comes to Rafferty Stadium with a record of 1-3. The Bobcats defeated UMass Lowell in their season opener and have since been on the short side against LIU, Brown and Sacred Heart.
Will Abbott and Steven Germain pace the Quinnipiac attack with 13 points apiece. Abbott owns a team-leading eight goals to go along with five assists, while Germain has distributed to team-best six assists with seven scores of his own. Ryan Donnery has matched Abbott with eight goals and has also doled out four helpers.
Dimitri George helps to keep Quinnipiac on the offensive with a .615 faceoff percentage (72-117) and 34 ground balls. George was the MAAC Faceoff Specialist of the Year in 2021.
Nick DiMucco has gone the distance in all four games to date. He owns a .500 save percentage with 58 saves and 58 goals allowed.
Quinnipiac was tabbed for fourth in the MAAC Preseason Poll after sharing the regular season title in 2021. George and attackman Jake Tellers were named to the Preseason All-MAAC Team.
LAST MEETING: FAIRFIELD 19, QUINNIPIAC 15 (2/29/20 in Fairfield, Conn.)
Faced with an 11-6 halftime deficit, Fairfield outscored visiting Quinnipiac, 13-4, in the second half to surge to a 19-15 victory.
Dylan Beckwith led the attack with seven points, and
Taylor Strough potted five goals for the Stags. In total, 11 different Stags contributed to the scoring.
Bryce Ford continued the strong start to his collegiate career with a career-high four points consisting of two goals and two assists.
Travis Ford also had a four-point day with two goals and two assists.
In the cage,
James Corasaniti made 14 saves, highlighted by six stops in the fourth quarter as the Stags surged ahead for good. The defense in front of him was highlighted by two caused turnovers and three ground balls for
George Elmquist. The man-down unit ceded only one goal on four opportunities for Quinnipiac, including two saves for Corasaniti, a caused turnover for Hake Tymon and a
Dean Ford ground ball while a Stag was serving out a penalty.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Fairfield is 8-1 all-time against Quinnipiac and has won the last seven meetings. The Stags are 6-0 at home overall against the Bobcats and 3-0 on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium.
COACH BAX ON THE HARVARD GAME
"We continue to show resiliency; there were a couple of times today when we bounced back and didn't let Harvard pull away, and I told the guys that I'm proud of them for that. But we still have to keep working on our details and playing cleaner lacrosse to keep ourselves out of those situations where we're playing from behind."
UP NEXT
The Stags trek to Binghamton on Saturday, March 12 for their first-ever meeting with the Bearcats. The trek is the lone road jaunt before a three-game homestand from March 19-April 2 featuring visits from Big East foes Providence and St. John's followed by the CAA opener against Hofstra.
