CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Fairfield University women's rowing team competed at the Head of the Charles, taking part in the Club 4 and the Club 8 races while the men's rowing captured a bronze medal in the Club 4 event on Saturday afternoon.
The women's team competed in the Club 4 event and placed 20th with a time of 19:14.07 behind the efforts of
Arden Costello,
Isabella King,
Emily Regan,
Arianna Welton, and coxswain
Erin Dobbs. Vesta Club posted the top time by crossing the line in 18:20.76 followed by Georgetown A (18:22.72) and Boston University A (18:23.36).
In the Club 8, the Stags finished the race in 18:00.77 as

Megan Blair,
Emma Szachta,
Christina Caruso, Meghan McGill,
Florencia Caces,
Miranda Schmidt, and coxswain
Ellery McSpedon represented the Stags. Drexel University A secured the winning time of 16:27.97 followed by Radcliffe College A (16:30.34) and Yale University A (16:32.72).
The Stags started the day with an impressive run in the Club 4 taking the event with a time of 16:52.01, trailing only Riverfront Recapture A's winning time of 16:38.50 and Riverside A's runner up time of 16:49.15. Fairfield's crew consisted of Brady Stergion, John Godwin, Ryan Borsy, Michael Hamilton, and coxwain Thomas Flynn.
The men's and women's rowing teams return to action on November 6 when it competes in the NYRA Fall Invitational in Teaneck, N.J.
