FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Eleonore Rembert set a new Fairfield record in the 100M Backstroke to highlight a host of strong performances for Fairfield University Women's Swimming and Diving on Saturday against Sacred Heart. Though the Stags won 10 of 16 events against the Pioneers, the visitors gained a edge in total points to win the meet, 166-134.

Rembert won the 100M Backstroke with a time of 1:04.85, breaking the mark of 1:05.18 established by soon-to-be Fairfield Athletics Hall of Famer Michelle Yoshida '12. Rembert also won the 200M Backstroke with a 2:25.44, the second-fastest mark in program history behind Yoshida.

Serafina Viola won three individual events, taking first place in the 50M, 100M, and 200M Freestyle events, and
Shannon Feeley continued the Stags' dominance in the Freestyle with victories in the 400M and 800M.

In the breaststroke,
Alexandra Miko-Rydzaj won the 100M and
Madelynn Mowad touched the wall first in the 200M.

Rounding out the day's winners, the quartet of Rembert, Miko-Rydzaj,
Maggie O'Donnell and
Samantha D'Alessandro won the 200M Medley Relay.

Other notable performances included O'Donnell joining the top-five all-time performances in the 100M Butterfly, clock in at 1:06.32 to place second in today's race.

Erin Wind was the Stags' top diver on the day, placing third in the 3M Dive and fourth in the 1M Dive.

The Stags return to competition at RecPlex Pool on Saturday, March 20 at noon with a visit from MAAC foe Iona.
