FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Freshman Erini Pappas earned the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Swimmer of the Week for her performance at the Terrier Invitational. setting three school records. The event included Boston College, Boston University, Georgetown University, Northeastern University, and UMass.

Pappas set the school standard in the 200 back with a time of 2:00.63, taking sixth place in the event. She followed up with another sixth-place swim in the 200 IM, establishing the school record by completing the distance in 2:05.17. She capped her day with a third-place run in the 400 IM by recording a time of 4:25.51 which was just off her school record of 4:25.19 which she posted in the preliminary.

The rookie also participated in the team's relay competitions throughout the Invitational. Pappas has enjoyed success all season long, already holding the top time in the MAAC for the 200 back, the 200 IM, and the 400 IM. 

The Fairfield University swimming and diving teams will compete next on January 7 when the men's and women's squads both host Seton Hall University. The diving competition is slated for an 11 am start while the swimming portion of the dual meet begins at 1 pm.
