FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Volleyball closes out the 2021 regular season this weekend with a pair of visits to the Empire State. The Stags trek to Iona on Friday, Nov. 12 for an 8 p.m. first serve and venture to Manhattan on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 1 p.m.
The Stags have already locked up the MAAC Regular Season Championship with a 15-1 conference tally as a part of their 20-7 overall record. Fairfield will be the top seed in next weekend's MAAC Championship at Siena's UHY Center. The Stags' quarterfinal opponent on Friday, Nov. 19 will be either Iona or the host Saints, pending results around the conference this weekend.
Fairfield swept both Iona and Manhattan on their respective visits to the RecPlex last month. The Gaels are 8-17 overall and 6-10 in the MAAC, most recently splitting the New Jersey road swing with a 3-1 win at Saint Peter's and a 3-1 loss at Rider. Manhattan is 2-18 on the season and 2-14 in conference play. The Jaspers were swept by the Broncs and Peacocks on their trip through the Garden State, extending their current skid to four straight matches.
