EDISON, N.J. – Mikayla Haut has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Week, as announced on Tuesday by the conference office. Haut had 10 kills in a pivotal win for Fairfield University Volleyball on Sunday at Rider as the Stags swept the match and the season series from the second-place Broncs.
 
In total, during a 2-0 week for the Stags, Haut averaged 2.80 kills per frame and chipped in six digs and a block in five sets of work. She had four kills and two digs in the Saturday sweep at Saint Peter's before her 10 kill, four dig showing in Sunday's straight-set win in Lawrenceville.
 
For the season, Haut has appeared in 37 sets over 14 matches for the Stags. She has posted 2.35 kills per set from the outside with 1.11 digs, 14 blocks and two service aces.
 
After this weekend's pair of road victories, the Stags are 7-0 in the MAAC and riding an eight-match winning streak. Fairfield (12-6 overall) return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at Siena. Following that midweek clash, the Stags play six of their next seven in the Nutmeg State, beginning with an Oct. 16-17 series at the RecPlex against Manhattan and Iona.
