FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University men's soccer team will play a seven-game schedule beginning in March which includes three home games and four away dates. The schedule will include Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) opponents without any non-conference contests.
The Stags will open the 2021 spring season in upstate New York with a match up against Canisius College on Thursday, March 11. The date will start a four-game stretch where the team will alternate between home and away. Fairfield will open the home portion of its schedule on Thursday, March 18 with a meeting against intrastate opponent Quinnipiac University at Lessing Field.
Head Coach
Carl Rees will send his team into action twice the following week beginning with a game at Saint Peter's University on Thursday, March 25 before returning to campus for a contest against Marist College on Sunday, March 28.
The Stags will have two more games the following week, starting with a trip to the Garden State for a meeting with Monmouth University on Thursday, April 1. The team will continue its two-game road swing through New Jersey when it stops at Rider University on Saturday, April 3.
The regular-season comes to an end on Monday, April 5 as Fairfield University will welcome Manhattan College to Connecticut. The MAAC Championship tournament will begin on April 11 with quarterfinal action as the top four seeds will host a game. The two remaining highest seeds will be the site of semifinal action on April 14 before the title match on April 17 which will also be at the highest seed.
