Fairfield Athletics has announced its department theme for the 2020-21 academic year:
One Team, One Family. The phrase – chosen by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) – is drawn from Fairfield's culture commitments as a part of the
"We Are Stags" initiative.

Stags Care
We care more, risk more, and give more than others think wise or possible. We find strength in our diversity – one team, one family, whatever harms any Stag harms me.

One Team, One Family will be the driving force behind the Stags' competitive spirit, department-wide educational programming, and community service experiences throughout the academic year.

"One Team, One Family has always been a part of who we are as Stags, and I am proud that our student-athletes want to bring that aspect of our culture commitments to the forefront this year," said Director of Athletics
Paul Schlickmann. "It's a phrase that represents the respect we have for one another, our commitment to unity and social justice, and our dedication to navigating a unique and challenging academic year as a community with a common goal."
