FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Veteran administrator Meghan Miller has been named Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance & Student Services at Fairfield University, as announced on Monday by Director of Athletics
Paul Schlickmann. Miller most recently served in a similar capacity at Sacred Heart University as a part of a 17-year career in college athletics.
At Fairfield, Miller will manage NCAA compliance for the Stags' 20 varsity sports and 450 student-athletes. She will serve as department liaison to campus offices including Admissions, Financial Aid, Residence Life, Student Affairs/Student Conduct and International Students. Miller will also oversee the staff and daily operations of the student-athlete academic center, sports performance and sports medicine units. As a member of Fairfield's senior leadership team, she will also serve as a sport administrator for select sports.

Miller joined the staff at Sacred Heart in 2012, serving as Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance as well as the department's Senior Woman Administrator. She previously held a similar role at the University of Bridgeport while also managing the Purple Knights' business office.

A 2001 graduate of Sacred Heart, Miller began her career as an Athletic Trainer at the University of New Haven while earning her M.S. in the Management of Sports Industries. She served as the Director of Sports Medicine at New Haven in 2005 before joining the staff at Bridgeport.
Miller is a current member of the NCAA International Student Records Committee. She previously served on the ECAC Board of Directors. During her tenure at Bridgeport, she was a member of the NCAA Division II Volleyball Regional Advisory Committee, and served the East Coast Conference as the Executive SWA in addition to stints as Secretary and Treasurer of the ECC SWA Council.
