HAMDEN, Conn. – Fairfield men's tennis put up a good fight in Singles but ultimately fell to Quinnipiac by a score of 5-2. 
 
The Stags battled through Doubles play but could not pick up a win giving the Bobcats an early 1-0 lead.
 
In Singles play, Tyler Shibles picked up a win at #1 Singles over Freddie Zaretsky (4-5, 1-0, 1-0) while John Hatala defeated Austin Yannone (6-1, 6-2) at #6 Singles. 
 
"We played well today and almost pulled it out" said Head Coach Jeff Bricker.  "Our seniors gave everything they had today and came up a bit short, but the effort was awesome. We need to play with this same intensity and urgency on Saturday."
 
Fairfield will take on Siena on Saturday, April 20 at 4 P.M. in New Haven to finish their regular season.
