FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Men's Lacrosse plays its final Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) road game of the season with a Saturday trip to #15/15 UMass. Opening faceoff from Garber Field in Amherst is set for 3:15 p.m.

Last Time Out
Host Drexel broke open a 9-6 game at the intermission with 12 second-half goals to pull away from the Stags in a 21-9 decision last Saturday in Philadelphia.
Dylan Beckwith led the way with three goals and three assists.
Patrick Drake also netted a hat trick for Fairfield for the third time in his rookie campaign.
Jack Brennan,
Matt Sharpe and
Taylor Strough each added one goal for the Stags. Rounding out the scoring were
Brendan Quinn and
Brian Reda with one assist apiece.
On the other end of the field,
Sean McKee made a career-high 15 saves in his first start of the season in the cage. The squad in front of him was led by
George Elmquist,
Andrew Murrow,
Sean Sweeney and LSM
Jake Tymon with one caused turnover apiece.
The effort on the draw was led by
Liam Lynch with four faceoff wins.
Will Kirshner came away with two restarts and
Bill McMenamin won one.
Scouting UMass
The University of Massachusetts Minutemen rose to #15 in the nation is both major national polls after a 14-10 triumph over #9/11 Towson this past Saturday. The reigning CAA Champions are currently 8-4 with a 2-1 conference mark. Three of the Minutemen's four losses have come in overtime, including their lone CAA setback two weeks ago at Hofstra and a March 2 loss to the defending National Champions, then-#4 Yale, in New Haven.
UMass is the CAA's second-highest scoring offense and ranks 19th in the nation with 12.58 goals per game. Individually, Chris Connolly is the club's top scorer with 46 points and has dished out 26 assists for a CAA-best 2.64 helpers per game, which ranks ninth nationally. Rookie attackman Gabriel Procyk is the Minutemen's top goal scorer with 27, and Jeff Trainor adds 28 total points with 16 goals and 12 assists.
Tom Meyers handles faceoff duties for UMass to the tune of a .617 winning percentage and 8.08 ground balls. Meyers ranks second in the CAA on the dot only behind Towson standout Alex Woodall.
Reigning CAA Player of the Year Isaac Paparo helms the nation's stingiest defense, allowing just 8.42 goals per game. Paparo leads the CAA with 26 caused turnovers and leads non-faceoff men with 56 ground balls. Goalkeeper Sean Sconone is one of the nation's best, leading Division I with a .618 save percentage and 8.09 goals-against average. He is also second in the CAA and 15th nationally with 12.67 saves per game.
