INDIANAPOLIS – Fairfield University Volleyball will travel to Minneapolis to play seventh-seeded and #8 nationally-ranked Minnesota in the NCAA Championship First Round on Friday, Dec. 6. First serve from Maturi Pavilion is set for 8 p.m. Eastern.

The Stags will be making their 11th trip to the NCAA Championship and their fourth in five years after securing the 2019 MAAC title with a 3-1 win over Quinnipiac last Sunday at Alumni Hall. Fairfield is currently 24-5 on the season. Minnesota is 23-5 overall and posted a 17-3 record in the Big Ten. Friday will mark the first meeting between the the Stags and Golden Gophers.
 
Iowa State (17-11, 8-8 Big 12) and Creighton (24-5, 17-1 Big East) will meet on the other side of the bracket on Friday. Game times from Maturi Pavilion have not yet been announced.
