SHELTON, Conn. -- The Fairfield University rowing team returned to the water after seeing last week's Sacred Heart Scare postponed due to weather. Today, the two schools met in a reschedule date of the event with the Stags sweeping through all four races.
The first novice 8 crews started the day with Fairfield crossing the line first with a time of 9:05.33, more than 13 seconds better than Sacred Heart's performance (9:18.96). The Stags were represented by Jess DeMarse,

Maggie Ethier,
Grace Fallon,
Madison McSherry, Abby Morrill, and coxswain
Faith Kenny.
The varsity 8 was next up in the schedule of events, featuring two boats from Fairfield and one from Sacred Heart. The Stags saw their two entries take the top two spots with the A boat coming home in 8:06.93 and the B boat securing a finish of 8:07.12. The Pioneers recorded a run of 9:02.51. The A boat was comprised by Madison Gibson,

The varsity 4 was next up for the morning staging with Fairfield coming away with a 30-plus second win over the Pioneers as the Stags crossed the line with a time of 9;40.20 followed by the host school (10:11.30). The Stags were represented by Ani Dennen,

The final event was another novice 8 race which featured Fairfield (9:31.24) coming away with another 30-plus second win over Sacred Heart (10:08.72). The Stags' boat included Jess DeMarse, Abby Morrill,
