BOSTON, Mass. -- The Fairfield University women's rowing team continued its fall season with a strong effort at the Head of the Charles, sending its varsity four to compete against some of the best programs in the nation. In the end, the Stags finished the event in 27th place out of 52 entries but were just one place off from earning an automatic qualifying spot in next year's event.
Fairfield was represented by
Molly Roche, Eileen Kennan,
Bethany Gove, Kelseyh Carthew, and coxswain
Laura Mason, as the boat crossed the finish line with a time of 20:12.515. The top three finishers included Marist College with a time of 18:44.28, followed by Tennessee (18:44.44) and Dartmouth College (18:56.45).Â
The Stags rowing team will continue its fall season at the Sacred Heart Scare next Saturday on the Housatonic River.
