FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Rising junior
Oreoluwa Cherebin from Fairfield University Swimming and Diving competed in the FINA (
Fédération internationale de natation) World Swimming Championships in Budapest, Hungary from July 23-30 representing her home country of Grenada.
Cherebin competed in the 100m breaststroke earning a time of 1:18.91 LCM which ranked 48th at the games. She finished 37th in the world in the 50 LCM breaststroke as well.
"In the short time I've had to work with Ore, I can tell she has a great focus and determination to get better," said Head Coach
Anthony Bruno. "Representing Grenada and her family is something really important to her, and I am glad that we can support her in that goal here at Fairfield."
