FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University Women's Basketball team will travel to fellow Jesuit institution Boston College in the AJCU Jesuit Basketball Spotlight on Sunday at 1pm. The contest will be streamed live on the ACC Network Extra.
The Stags will have plenty of momentum entering the contest as they come off their best half of basketball this season. The Stags set a season-high 44 points in the second half while allowing 25 UMass Lowell points, tying the fewest in any half for an opponent this season. Joe Frager the team to "show him his heart" as the team left the huddle to begin the half. Fairfield had allowed 25 River Hawk points in the second quarter as the visitors brought an eight-point lead into halftime.
The Stags also showed a more up-tempo flow in the second half and tallied 16 fast break points in the game. Fairfield had entered the game averaging 4.8 fast break points per game, with a season-high seven of those coming in the season opener against Richmond.
Sam Kramer was the orchestrator of the up-tempo flow with four of her career-high seven assists coming in the second half.
