FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield University Volleyball returns to George Bisacca Court at Alumni Hall this Wednesday for a visit from Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foe Siena. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. with all of the action broadcast live on the
Stags Sports Network.
Fairfield Volleyball is hosting a White Out on Wednesday. All fans are encouraged to wear white, and the residence hall with the highest attendance (
check in via the Super Stags app) will win a pizza party for their residence hall. The match is also a "Connect" event for FYE students.
Â
After a 3-0 performance last week, Fairfield (20-6, 15-0 MAAC) has clinched at least a share of its 17th MAAC Regular Season Championship since 1996. With one more win – or a Niagara loss – the Stags can lock up sole ownership of the regular season crown as well as top seed in the upcoming MAAC Championship, which will emanate from Alumni Hall from Nov. 17-19. Fairfield's current 16-match winning streak has also guided the Stags to their third consecutive 20-win season and their sixth in eight campaigns led by Head Coach
Todd Kress.
Â
This past week, the Stags were led by senior co-captain
Megan Theiller, who posted three double-doubles
en route to MAAC Player of the Week honors. Theiller joined
Mayda Garcia (Sept. 5),
Manuela Nicolini (Sept. 26) and three-time winner
Skyler Day as the four Stags to have earned the award this fall. In addition,
Taylor Rudeen was the tabbed as the MAAC Libero of the Week on Aug. 29.
