HADLEY, Mass. -- The women's rowing team returned to the water on Saturday morning for the 2017 Hadley Chase with the Stags' four and eight crews competing against some of the region's top teams.

The Stags placed two entries into the varsity four event with the A boat taking 10th place in 21; 08.5 and the B boat securing 12th place with a time of 22:08.2. The A crew consisted of Ani Dennen, Tina Chalastra, Shelley Wilson, Allison Sloan, and coxswain Leanne Anderson. The B crew was comprised by Kerry Clarke, Maggie O'Donnell, Nolan Campbell, Aileen Morley-McLaughlin, and coxswain Laura Mason.

The novice four placed first in its race by crossing the line in 21:46.9 while Franklin Pierce ended the race as the runner up. The Fairfield entry included Morgan Connell, Sam Altomare, Chloe Boughrum, Bethany Gove, and coxswain Katie Clark.

The novice 8 grabbed a sixth-place finish by running the course in 22:05.3, an event that saw Dartmouth (17:56.1), Tufts A (19:54.1), and Coast Guard (21:11.3) take the top three spots in the race. The Stags A boat was scratched from the competition. Erka Kodra, Brooke Sillart, Angie Buffolino, Camryn Colonna, Mariel Staffer, Lauren Fraitres, Nicholette Benke, Angelina Kim, and coxswain Emily Doyle represented Fairfield in this event.

The final race for Fairfield came in the varsity 8 where the Stags placed three boats in the event. The A shell earned 11th place with a time of 19:35.8, followed by the B shell's 19th place finish in 21:16.1 and the C shell's 23rd place finish in 22:50.1. Dartmouth won the varsity 8 title with a time of 17:39.8 with Fordham (18:09.6) and Marist (18:29.1) rounding out the top three spots. The A entry included Ani Dennen, Tina Chalastra, Shelley Wilson, Allison Sloan, Morgan Connell, Sam Altomare, Chloe Boughrum, Bethany Gove, and coxswain Katie Clark. The B entry was comprised by Megan Dobensky, Claire Lavelle, Julie Becker, Kerry Clarke, Maggie O'Donnell, Nolan Campbell, Aileen Morley-McLaughlin, Katrina Kirchgaesser, and coxswain Laura Mason. The C entry consisted of Maddie Feeley, Christina Maher, Nicole Chrysler, Brooke Sillart, Kaitlyn Sweeney, Michaela Bassett, Mikayla Goria, Erin Godfrey, and coxswain Claudia Worotikan.
