BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The Fairfield University men's and women's basketball teams conducted a youth clinic in Bridgeport on March 21. Members of the basketball coaching staffs and student-athletes were on hand to teach the game and talk about the what it is like to be a college student to the group of 40 boys and girls.
The event took place at the Cardinal Shehan Center and was sponsored by Stop & Shop. Fairfield University Athletics and Stop & Shop have teamed up to host youth clinics over the past few years, bringing sports and education together for youths across Fairfield Country.
The Cardinal Shehan Center is a non-profit organization located in Bridgeport, CT. For 52 years the Center has served the recreational, educational, and social needs of moderate and low-income families and young people of lower Fairfield County, particularly inner city Bridgeport.
