The Fairfield University women's swim team defeated Manhattan College, 160-101, while the men's team fell to the Jaspers 158.5-103.5 this evening in MAAC action. The women's team moves to 2-0 while the men's team falls to 0-2.

For the second-straight meet, sophomore Kelly Mulligan was a triple winner for the Stags. She captured the 100y back (1:02.71), the 200y back (2:16.77), and the 200y IM (2:17.93).

Fairfield took the top three spots in the women's 1000y freestyle with Meredith LaBerge leading the way with a time of 10:59.27. Alyssa Acompora was next in 11:21.86 while Kate Ansani was third in 11:27.40. The trio also finished atop the 500y freestyle with LaBerge notching the winning time of 5:25.67 while Ansani placed second in 5:34.60 and Acompora finished third in 5:35.87.

Margaret Osmulski captured the 200y freestyle with a time of 2:02.06. She also posted a winning time of 2:25.26 in the 200y butterfly and took third in the 200y back with a time of 2:20.59,

Suzy Lawlor captured the 100y breaststroke with a time of 1:10.31 while freshman Meghan Guinee was the runner-up in 1:13.96. The duo also took the top two spots in the 200y breaststroke with Lawlor posting a winning time of 2:33.60 while Guinee finished in 2:38.04.

On the men's side, sophomore Connor Daly won three events for the Stags for the second meet in a row. He captured the 100y fly in 52.37 seconds, just .21 off the program record, the 200y butterfly (1:58.22) and the 200y IM (2:02.38).

Fairfield took the top two spots in the men's 1000y freestyle as Kevin Greener clocked a winning time of 10:23.92 while Andrew Robinson was the runner-up in 10:38.97. Greener also picked up the win in the 500y free with a time of 5:50.79.

Freshman Scott McGinty captured the 100y freestyle with a time of 49.78 seconds. Cody Parker was the runner-up in the 200y free with a time of 1:49.45.

Fairfield returns to action on October 25 at Fordham. On October 26, the divers will head to the CCSU Diving Invitational.
