The Fairfield University men's lacrosse team is in Baltimore, Md. for a key ECAC Lacrosse League contest with #20 Loyola University Maryland on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Stags are 5-4 on the year and 2-1 in ECAC play, while the Greyhounds are 5-3 overall and 2-2 in conference action.

The Stags are coming off of a 13-11 win over ECAC foe Bellarmine on Saturday, led by the six points of
Brent Adams. Adams, who scored four times, tallied the teams first man-down goal of the season in the victory. Loyola is coming off of a 12-9 win at Ohio State and has scored a league-leading three man-down goals this season.
Fairfiels is currently in second place in the league standings, trailing 3-0 Denver. Loyola, which is playing its fifth ECAC game, is in tie for third place with 1-1 Hobart. The two squads are atop the league in penalty-killing percentage this season. The Greyhounds are third in the nation, killing off 82.8 percent of its opponents extra-man situations, while the Stags are sixth killing off 81.1 percent. Both teams are scoring on 48.6 percent of their man-up chances, putting the Stags fifth nationally and the Greyhounds sixth.
The meeting is the 12th in the series history and the sixth meeting between the two teams when both have been members of the ECAC. The Stags have won just once in the series, 13-12, at home in 2006 and have lost four straight meetings to the Greyhounds.
The game will also feature two of the top keepers in the nation. Fairfield's
Charlie Cipriano is eighth in the nation with a 7.14 GAA and is seventh with a .600 save percentage. Both of those numbers are tops in the ECAC. He has made 27 saves over the last two games and ranks 18th in the country with 10.76 saves per game. Jake Hagelin is averaging 6.63 saves per game and is second in the league, 29th nationally, with an 8.55 GAA.
