Game Notes

In the midst of a five-game homestand the Fairfield University men's lacrosse team will host non-conference foe Villanova University Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. on Alumni Field.  Fans can watch the game live online here and via Livestats.

Fairfield and Villanova are meeting for the sixth-time with the Wildcats holding a 3-2 advantage in the series.  Villanova won the last meeting, in 2010, 8-6 at Villanova, Pa.  Fairfield's last win in the series came in 2001 with an 11-9 road win.  The only  game in the series that has been played at Fairfield in 1999, with the Stags winning 13-12.  Villanova defeated the Stags 19-4 in 1993 and won 12-7 in 2000.

Villanova has had 10 different players score a goal, led by Kevin Cunningham with nine goals, six assists and 15 points.  Billy Hurley has played all 180 minutes in goal making 31 saves and enters today's game with a.426 save percentage.  The Wildcats are averaging 10.33 goals per game, the same number they are giving up on the year.  Villanova is 3-14 in man-up chances, and has allowed opponents to go 4-13 in extra-man situations.  The Wildcats have gone 29-79 on face-offs this season.
