FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Maurice Barrow earned the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) player of the week award after leading the Fairfield University men's basketball team to a 72-60 win over Quinnipiac University on November 11. The honor was the first weekly MAAC award for the sophomore forward.

Barrow enjoyed one of his best games since joining the Stags in 2010-11, scoring a career-high and game-high 19 points. He connected on eight of 11 field goals in the game, and added a team-high six rebounds. Barrow also tied his personal best with three steals in the game.

The Stags, under Head Coach Sydney Johnson, return to action on Monday by hosting Providence College at the Webster Bank Arena. The team will also travel to the University of Minnesota for a November 17 game before returning to Alumni Hall on November 20 for a 1 pm matchup with the College of the Holy Cross.
