The Fairfield University women's soccer team outshot Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) host Manhattan College Friday night, but were unable to get the go-ahead goal and came away with a 0-0 tie in double-overtime.  The tie snaps a four-game losing streak for the Stags, who are now 3-6-4 overall and 1-2-1 in league play.  The Jaspers move to 2-9-2 on the season  and 0-4-1 in league play.

Fairfield put together eight shots in overtime, and earned two corner kicks, including one with nine seconds to play, but were stymied by Jasper keeper Kara Davis.  Davis finished the game with eight saves, five of which came during the overtime periods.

Kelly Boudreau minded the net for Fairfield and she stopped the only shot that Manhattan put on net, early in the second-half.  Fairfield's defense did not allow a shot in the first-half or in either overtime period.  Fairfield had two of its six corner kicks in extra time, with the Jaspers putting up three corner kicks.

The Stags were whistled offsides three times, while Manhattan was called offsides once.  The Stags committed two more fouls, 18-16, than Manhattan.

Fairfield continues its MAAC weekend road trip on Sunday, when it plays at Saint Peter's on Sunday.
