GREELEY, Colo. – Rookie Hayley Moyer (Riverside, Calif.) and junior Haililani Pokipala (Honolulu, Hawaii) each delivered eight kills but the Fairfield University volleyball team could not stop Northern Colorado, falling to the host Bears, 3-0 (17-25, 17-25, 17-25) at the Hampton Inns & Suites Northern Colorado Classic.

Moyer hit .462 for the match, making just two errors in 13 swings. Pokipala had three digs to go along with her kills.

Sophomore Brianna Dixion (Long Beach, Calif.) tallied seven kills and seven digs on the morning while junior Kendal Dirkin (Oak Park, Ill.) added six kills on .500 hitting.

Northern Colorado (5-2), out-blocked the Stags (1-5) by an 11-2 margin while holding them to a .074 attack percentage.

Fairfield wraps up play at the Northern Colorado Classic at 1:30pm (MDT) against UMKC.
