Volleyball Falls To Undefeated Georgia 3-0

GREELEY, Colo. – The Fairfield University volleyball team could not stop undefeated Georgia, falling to the Bulldogs 3-0 (13-25, 14-25, 16-25).

Sophomore Brianna Dixion (Long Beach, Calif.) tallied a team-high kills for the Stags while junior Haililani Pokipala (Honolulu, Hawaii) tallied five kills. Freshman setter Rachel Romansky (Denver, Colo.) assisted on15 of the Stags' 23 kills on the night. Defensively,sophomore Kara Reis (Ramona, Calif.) had a match-high 11 digs.

Freshman Hayley Moyer (Riverside, Calif.) had four kills and two total blocks while junior Alex Lopez (Fort Collins, Colo.) had three kids and six digs.

The Bulldogs (5-0) held the Stags to a .011 attack percentage while hitting .400. Georgia out-blocked the Stags 13-4.

Fairfield (0-4) wraps up play at the Hampton Inns & Suites Colorado Classic tomorrow, September 4. The Stags face the host Bears at 9am (MDT) followed by UMKC at 1:30pm (MDT).
