HANOVER, N.H. – Freshman Hilary Fitts (Wilmington, Del.) scored her first career goal as the field hockey team dropped a 2-1 loss to the Big Green.  Dartmouth started the scoring seven minutes into the game when Meghan Everett converted a pass from Claire Byrne at the 6:47 mark. Fitts tied it up nearly 10 minutes later as she fired a shot past Dartmouth goalkeeper Meagan Vakiener off a pass from classmate Christy Starsinic.

The Big Green posted the game-winner early in the second half after Maya Herm pushed a shot past the Stags defense, taking the pass from Lisa Masini at 42:12.

In addition to Fitts' three shots, Marit Westenberg, Amanda Sullivan, and Anne Nieuwenhuis all produced two of their own adding to the team's 11 total.

Despite the outcome, Stags goalkeeper Maddy Sposito played a strong game in her third consecutive start. Sposito finished the game with a career-high nine saves on the day, which more than doubled the Dartmouth goalkeeper's total.
