RIVERDALE, N.Y. –
The Fairfield University volleyball team lost its third-straight match falling to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foe Manhattan College 3-0 (18-25, 10-25, 12-25) this afternoon.
 
Sophomore Brianna Dixion (Long Beach, Calif.) had eight kills and seven digs while freshman Rachel Romansky (Denver, Colo.) finished with 14 assists, six kills, and four digs for the Stags. Junior Bethany Steiger (Cary, Ill.) had five kills while sophomore Kara Reis (Ramona, Calif.) added a match-high 11 digs.
 
Manhattan hit .325 on the day while Fairfield registered a .000 attack percentage after committing 27 attack errors along with their 27 kills. The Jaspers held a 4.5-1 advantage in blocks as well.
 
The Jaspers (15-13; 8-7 MAAC) snapped an 11-match losing skid to the Stags (10-17; 9-6 MAAC), marking their first victory since November 15, 2003. It was also the sixth league loss of the season for Fairfield, tying the 1995 squad for most MAAC losses in a year.
 
Fairfield looks to get back on track on Sunday, November 7 against Loyola University Maryland as the Stags host their final home of match of the season. Prior to the 2pm start, the Stags will honor their senior class. Live Stats and Live Video will be available for tomorrow's match.
