BOSTON, Mass. -- The Fairfield University field hockey team surrendered a pair of goals in the opening 13 minutes and never recovered as the nationally-ranked Boston University posted a 4-0 win in America East play.

Andrea Greene tallied both of those goals, the first coming just four minutes into the game and the second hitting the back of the net in the 13th minute. Leslie Zules set up both of those goals with passes to the circle. Jacinda McLeod finished the first half scoring when she made the score 3-0 with under a minute remaining off a penalty corner.

Boston University tallied the only goal of the second half when Greene finished off her hat trick at the 42-minute mark. Maddy Sposito made 12 saves in the Fairfield net as the Stags were outshot by a 20-3 margin in the game.

The Stags return to the playing field on Sunday afternoon when they host Georgetown University at University Field. Game time is slated for 2 pm.
